A multi-media celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the first IW Festival: ‘The Great South Coast Bank Holiday Pop Festivity’ – with live music by artists from the original 1968 line-up!

ALL WIGHT NOW was conceived as a project to celebrate the 50th Anniversaries of the original Isle of Wight Festivals of 1968, 1969 and 1970 – the music, the memories and the legacy.

For the first event, celebrating the debut 1968 festival, we are delighted to announce a performance by Ashley Hutchings founder of Fairport Convention, who played at the 1968 IOW Festival, Ashley will bring both his music and his unique reminiscences of that time. Bob Dylan said of him (in September 2015): “Ashley Hutchings is the single most important figure in the history of English folk-rock.”

The next original ’68’ artists on the bill are ‘The Pretty Things Meets JC and Angelina’, which features original Pretty Things band members Phil May and Dick Taylor, supported by two of the Isle of Wight’s finest musicians. The Pretty Things, whose rocking roots go back to formation of The Rolling Stones, played at both the 68 and 69 Island Festivals. The band has announced that 2018 will be their last year of touring so the All Wight Now event will be one of the last occasions for fans to pay homage.

Further line-up announcements will follow.
